AeroShell Fluid 5L-A is a highly refined, low viscosity mineral oil containing an extreme pressure additive as well as additives to provide good oxidation and corrosion protection. AeroShell Fluid 5L-A has good low temperature characteristics. AeroShell Fluid 5L-A is used for the lubrication of gears where high tooth loadings exist, particularly when operating at low temperature.

AeroShell Fluid 5L-A is particularly suitable for the lubrication of radar gearboxes, constant speed alternator drives. AeroShell Fluid 5L-A is also used in those helicopter transmissions (gearboxes) which require use of this type of MIL-PRF-6086 oil. AeroShell Fluid 5L-A must not be used in engines
